About this class
In this sewing workshop, you will learn everything you need to know about operating a sewing machine in a creative atmosphere. Learn about the various stitches and uses using a household machine and the materials and tools to be used. In doing so, you implement what you have learned and create your personal shopping bag.
Details to remember
What to bring to the class
Bring a woven cotton fabric (50 cm long, approx. 140 cm wide).
If you don't have any fabric, I'll provide fabrics. The fabrics cost between 5€ - 10€ per meter and are billed separately during the workshop.
What is included in the class?
You will receive extensive sewing information, have access to an extensive specialist library and cutting books.
The use of sewing machines and tools as well as the use of sewing threads and haberdashery is included during the course.
Water, coffee and tea are offered.

What you’ll do in the class
- After the welcome and presentation, the course process is discussed first.
- You will then be taught the theoretical knowledge of the sewing machine as well as the basics of the required tools and materials.
- You will learn how to use the sewing machine for specific seams and how to process the material with it.
- You make your own, individually designed shopping bag and take it home as a souvenir.
- Ideally, you enjoy sewing and continue with another course!
Who is the class suitable for?
For beginners. Would you like to try your hand at the sewing machine? Regardless of whether you already have first-hand sewing machine experience or have never sewn a stitch before - this course is just the right thing for you. As a course instructor, I will teach you how to use the sewing machine and prepare for your first small sewing projects.
